BARNES & NOBLE BOOKFAIR

Saturday November 12, 2011

9:00am- 10:00pm

 

Parents we are planning another great book for this Saturday. The teachers will read their favorite stories, the choir will sing, the cheerleaders will cheer, the debate team will debate and artwork will be displayed. Please come and enjoy all the fun and pick-up a few books.

EVERGREEN SALE

Beautiful, fresh evergreens are available for purchase through Mother Teresa Regional School. All orders are due by Monday, November 28, 2011. Orders must be picked up at the school on December 2, 2011 in the cafeteria from 10 am until 2pm. ANNUAL COOKIE SALE

Would you like to bake cookies?

 

Fill out the form found in the 11/9/11 HSC and then bring 6 dozen cookies into school on Thursday, Dec. 1st or Dec. 2nd.  MTRS elves arrange all the delicious treats onto assorted decorative platters that we sell at the Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, Dec. 3rd!

You can preorder some of these beautiful trays to give as gifts or enjoy yourself. Simply fill out the form found in the 11/9/11 HSC and return to school by Friday November 18th with appropriate payment. You can pick up your platter after school on Friday, December 2nd or at the Bazaar on Saturday, December 3rd!!!

TRUNK OR TREAT

October 28, 2011

6:00pm-8:30pm

 

No bells, no knocking to ask for a treat

From trunk to trunk, children move their feet

Think your car, costume or pumpkin is the best

Let us judge when you enter our contests

Play games, win prizes, do the monster mash

Our “trunk or treat” is sure to be a bash

MISSION CARNIVAL

October 31, 2011

12:00pm - 2:00pm

 

 

Students will have the opportunity to try their luck at a variety of games.  Please send change in with your child in a Ziploc baggie with their name on it.   Most games will cost between $.25-$.50.  There will also be raffles chances are $.25 each.  There is even an Ipod being raffled off so bring in lots of change.All students may dress down in orange and/or black for $1.00. NO COSTUMES!! 

 

The proceeds from the dress down day and the mission carnival will go to our  membership in the Holy Childhood Association and the missions.  Mrs. Flanagan, our mission moderator, thanks everyone in advance for their support of the Mission Carnival.

 

Younger siblings are invited to go trick or treating that afternoon and join us for the mission carnival.  Please invite your younger friends to join us in costume as they walk around the school to go trick or treating.

 

 

 

 

 

Taste of the Bay - October 14 at 7pm

 

The PTA Board would like to give a big Thank You to Sherilyn & Ray Przelomski, and Bev McGee for a wonderful Taste of The Bay. Your dedication and hard work paid off and we can't thank you enough for a wonderful evening, and on not only achieving your goal but surpassing it. Thank you to your committee and the families that attended The Taste of the Bay. We are sure all would agree it was a truly enjoyable evening.

 

Please keep the restaurants in mind that participated by visiting them when looking to dine out. The restaurants that participated were: Windansea, Chilango’s, Zoe Vintage Kitchen, Town & Surf Diner, Walter Mihm’s, Flaky Tart, Kunya Siam Thai, Hudson Café, Philly’s Great Cheesesteaks, Wine Bar, Harborside Grill, Memphis Pig Out, Jersey Shore Roasters & Salt Creek Grille. The two wine vendors were Matt with Atlantic Spirits and Courtney from the Wine Bar, both from Atlantic Highlands.

Meet your child's teachers and see their classrooms   ♦   Sign up for volunteer hours   ♦   Order MTRS jackets   ♦   Learn how you can support MTRS through labels and other programs.  

The PTA will be available to  answer any questions.

 

ANNUAL BACK TO SCHOOL DINNER -  August 26th 6:00 PM

A very big Thank you To Kim Lombardo for organizing the Back to School dinner, unfortunately with the hurricane coming all of us had a lot on our minds for our families that were being evacuated. A good time was had by those that could attend, and without Kim and her committee it would not have been done. THANK YOU TO ALL WHO ASSISTED.

  

SCHOOL SUPPLY SALE and UNIFORM SWAP- August 22nd and 24th.

Thank you to those of you who pre-ordered for the School Supply Sale.  We will have your orders ready  for pick-up on Monday, August 22nd from 6:00pm-8:00pm; or Wednesday, August 24th from Noon –3:00pm.  At that time you can collect your purchases, label them with your child’s name and place them in their classroom if you desire.  Any mandatory MTRS purchases (like the planners, earbuds or music notebooks) can also be purchased at the sale.

 

SPIRIT WEAR SALE - Due August 8th

Spirit wear order forms are in the 7/27/11 HSC.  Please note that the children can wear any of  these items as their gym uniform.  If you have children in the Pre-K program they can wear these items on a daily basis except for school pictures.  The deadline is August 8th and payment must accompany your order.
