Today we erupted our volcanoes and discussed the vocabulary associated with them. If you would like to erupt them at home after they have dried, simply fill the vent 3/4s of the way with baking soda.  Add a drop of red food coloring to a tsp. of white vinegar and pour it in.

MTRS will be launching Catholic Schools Week at the 11:00 mass at Holy Family (Union Beach) on January 25.

Holy Family is one of our sponsoring parishes and it is important for our school to be well represented at the mass.

All families are requested to attend. Students are expected to dress in their mass uniform.

On behalf of Miss Karen and myself, we would like to thank our students and their parents

for the generous gifts we received.  We would also like to thank Mrs. Hibell and Mrs. Swetland

for providing a wonderful Christmas party for the children.

Merry Christmas to each of you and Happy New Year!

December News

Our class will be enjoying their Christmas party on Friday, December 19th at 1:00 p.m.

Thank you to our class moms, Mrs. Hibell and Mrs. Swetland, who will be helping with

                snacks and fun for the children before we break for vacation.

Report cards will be distributed on the 5th.  Please note that they are to be signed &

                           returned as they are originals and not copies.

        Our Christmas concert will be held on Thursday the 18th at 7 p.m. in the parish center.

Students will meet in the cafeteria at 6:45 p.m. dressed in their Sunday best.  The children will

           be dismissed to you in the cafeteria immediately following their performance.

                      PK Orientation is Tuesday, September 2nd from 8-9a.m. 

Wednesday, September 3rd through Friday, September 5th will be an 11:50 dismissal.

As a Catholic educator I have taught children in P3 and P4 with four years in Kindergarten.  I currently hold a New Jersey K-8 teaching certificate, P3 certification, Wilson Reading Level 1 certification and am certified as a catechist. I have been a faculty member at MTRS since its inception.
