The following is a letter from Tom Sorci (July 29, 2013):
Dear MTRS Community,
My favorite time of year is the beginning of a new school year. For over thirty years as a teacher and the past five years as principal, I have cherished the late summer and early fall days when the school year begins. I have never grown tired of the excitement surrounding the first days of school. I look forward to meeting all the new and returning students and their families as we begin the start of a new school year.
In keeping with the National Catholic Education Association, our theme for the year will be “Communities of Faith, Knowledge and Service”. As our Jersey Shore communities continue to recover from the effect of Hurricane Sandy, let us keep in mind how God is with us at all times, how he nurtures us and calls us to help each other especially during times which try our souls. Let us constantly pray for the well-being of our school and its families as we strive to live out our Gospel values every day.
