Mother Teresa Regional School opened its doors in 2006, created as part of the Diocese of Trenton’s Strategic plan.
Our growing Catholic education community serves the Bayshore area and is currently sponsored by five parishes:
- Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Highlands
- Saint Agnes Church, Atlantic Highlands
- Saint Catherine Church, North Middletown
- Saint Ann Church, Keansburg
Holy Family, Union Beach
Mother Teresa Regional School combines academic rigor with a focus on the unique needs and talents of each student to ensure a learning experience that inspires each of them to reach for new levels of personal achievement and influence the world by leading with compassion. At Mother Teresa Regional School, students strive to reach higher in all they do.
Melissa Whelan Wisk was the school's first principal with Reverend Robert Tynski as the canonical pastor of the school. Fr. Michael Figler was the canonical representative from 2009-2010. Fr. William Dunlap was the canonical representative from 2010-2013. In 2013, Mr. Tom Sorci became the second principal of MTRS was joined by Fr. WIlliam Lago as the canonical representative.
